LocalTopSpotWhat you see
The featured name on a city and trade page is the business holding that spot right now. The page says the placement is paid. It is not chosen from reviews or star ratings.
About
A featured spot, not a ranking.
LocalTopSpot is a small local board for service businesses in Durham Region. Each city and trade has one featured business. That business paid to be highlighted for a fixed time. Visitors can see who is featured and contact them directly.
Who it is for
People looking for a plumber, electrician, hvac, roofer, landscaping in Oshawa, Ajax, Whitby, Pickering. And owners who want that highlighted listing.
What it does not do
It does not rank businesses against each other, take a cut of jobs, or promise calls and customers. There is no bidding to jump ahead.
How the board works
One spot per city and trade
Oshawa plumbing is one listing. Ajax plumbing is a different listing. When a spot is open, another business can claim it after review.
Review before it goes public
An owner submits the business name, city, trade, email, and phone. A website or map link is optional. We check the details before the listing can be featured.
A private page for the owner
After approval, the owner gets an email link to their own page. That page shows the featured dates and how many people clicked through. It is not a shared login.
A fixed time, then a renewal
Seven days is $6.99, about $1 a day. Renewal extends the current end date. It does not move the business above someone else, because there is only one featured spot.
Contact stays with the business
Visitors call the business, open the website, or get directions when those links were provided. LocalTopSpot does not collect the job and send it out.
Where this starts
The first region is Durham Region: Oshawa, Ajax, Whitby, Pickering. The public trades are plumber, electrician, hvac, roofer, landscaping. If a trade is missing, an owner can request it. That request is reviewed before it becomes a public category. The region control in the header is ready for more regions later.
